Charge you car via the road or turn your house into a battery

MIT professors have created some amazing sounding new tech that uses concrete to store energy. This means that buildings could act as giant batteries and you could even charge your electric vehicle as you drive it along the road!

It's not available yet but has enormous potential to for instance store energy captured by solar panels and then feed that back into a property as demand increases and solar power drops. It's also based on 2 cheap existing technologies so in theory can be rolled out in the not too distant future.
